Parents of students at Atiba University, Oyo State, have called on the Federal Government to urgently intervene in the ongoing crisis surrounding the university’s Law programme.
In a statement, the parents expressed concern over the non-accreditation of the programme and its potential impact on the academic future of affected students.
They are appealing to the Federal Government and relevant authorities to facilitate the immediate transfer of affected students to other accredited institutions. The parents emphasized the need to protect the students from losing years of academic effort and investment.
“We are calling on the Federal Government to act swiftly to safeguard the future of these students. Years of hard work should not be wasted due to administrative issues beyond their control,” the statement read.
The parents urged the National Universities Commission, NUC, and the Federal Ministry of Education to prioritize the welfare of the students and provide clear directives to ensure a seamless transfer process.
